Welcome!

I am Irene Owens and I am committed to empowering women, either through my words or through actions.  Through my blog and social media accounts, I love to motivate and encourage  women to live their best life at home and work. I was a contributing writer for The Female Hustlers, a women’s empowerment website that inspires, motivates and teaches women how to achieve their full potential in life and I have written for BizRocks a digital marketing magazine for women entrepreneurs.

I am a proud member of 100 Women Who Give a Hoot, based in the Raleigh-Durham area, which is comprised of 100+ women who believe that collective-giving can have a powerful impact on their community. I am a leader of a women’s bible study a Journey Church, in Raleigh, NC.  I also a volunteer for the Raleigh Dream Center, a non-profit in Raleigh, NC committed to sharing the Gospel through relationships & providing resources to communities.

I am a former Board Member and social media coordinator for Unexpected , an nonprofit in the Raleigh-Durham area, which provides support and guidance to young, first-time mothers in raising their child by overcoming financial hardship and providing a support system. I am a former Board Chair and social media coordinator for InStepp, Inc., Inc., a nonprofit in Durham, NC committed to empowering women suffering through economic and individual challenges.

I am native of New England (Massachusetts and New Hampshire), but moved to Raleigh, NC in 2015 and was quickly joined by my two children and my grandchildren.
